How to beat Barbarossa mission 4 Lombard league
Please any tips for this mission? I keep running out of resources every time and all enemies are impossibly strong and just keep coming infinetely... is this mission bugged or is it just that hard? I am playing on normal difficulty (bronze medal)

I built castles near the shoreline and the only entrance to my base, created some fast fire ship to deal with purple's navy, some paladins and trebuchets to attack green's base which was right next to me, and as soon as i got enough resources, built the wonder in their base.

I just beat it myself. I went to the island in the north. Attacks were frequent but fairly lame, so block the way over the water with castle. Purple will keep attack your docks, a castle can usually deal with them. But keep a small fleet to deal with their cannon ships.

Green is easy enough to beat, you'll probably have the strength to punish purple on land while building your wonder in the green city.

U can actually trade your starting res to get enough for the wonder and then build it straightaway on the island while kiting enemies with ur starting troops

At the start you're heavily encoraged to run away from the first fight and set up a new base across the water in the north east of the map. From there its normally very easy to place lots of towers and castles that can fight off both land and sea attacks.

thx for all your responses (except for TheWorld who is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). It didnt occur to me I am supposed to travel to another island lol. I just pulled back behind the river and started base there. There are enough resources for a while but not enough for long fights.

How though, I literally cant touch purple early game, they spam 20 boats every few minutes. Making it impossible to actually keep up, since they instantly target my ships if they see them. Then green and yellow spam a total of like 40 units every 5 minutes. This is the least fun mission I've played so far, even if you can cheese it. A new player will not know what to do, and just be stuck here for hours. I got fed up after 4 hours and looked up what to do, and it just made it even harder of a start lol.

I should note, I did do it a little different, I castle rushed the purples dock area killed their stupid docks and then am building a wonder in that dock area. That was something no guide I found said to do, or anyone. That made it miles easier. Ima just look up guides if i get stuck on a stupid mission for an hour or more smh.

The best way I've found to do this mission is to establish my main base in between Venice and Verona, effectively putting you in a position to cripple and easily eliminate these two players. Beyond that, Padua remains a pushover, and only Henry poses a nominal threat, but which you should be able to address fairly easily in what quickly becomes a 1v1 (or 1v1.5, depending on how long it takes to eliminate Padua).

you just sail across the sea u would be near green and yellow i think u just wall ur self off i built like 3 castles 1 watching over the sea and the other 2 are at the entrance of the area , after i farmed everything and defended i just sailed to the bottom where the old base was walled my self and built a tc and farmed the extra resources u dont have to beat yellow just beat green and build castles they are great edition for an offense and defense i had around like 5-6 castles at the end lol and walled off greens gates and built like 2 castles and military buildings i was playing on hard so had to be super defensive after i reached max pop i just built the wonder but it turned out i drained the enemies resources so didnt get much resistance lol

If you avoid building a castle Henry the Lion will not betray you, giving you one less enemy and a trading partner.
