I dont like dota 2. Does that mean i shouldnt buy AOE?

I want to buy AOE but i couldnt get into dota 2, does that mean i shouldnt buy AOE?

Both are RTS games arent they? Dota 2 is the only rts game ive played.

MOBAS are very diffferent games from actual RTS games. In dota you control 1 units while in AOE2 you have multiple units and need to build more

I love Age of Empires 2, but I could never get into Dota 2, myself. They are both real time but otherwise very different.

There is a free Dawn of war 2 Demo on steam, if you want to try out some RTS with multiple units before you want to buy. It's not AoE, there is no base building, but maybe it's an insight into the genre.

I tried searching but was like a dlc that wanted money. I didnt realize i have a VR game lazerbait already installed which is RTS.

it is a complete different type of game DOTA is a ]MOBA AOE is an RTS

different games, but this one is just in its 'suck' state right now. serious performance issues, mostly network related. hard to enjoy unless you are used to playing this game from 20 years ago, but by todays standards its just bad. get a 4v4 going and most likely someone drops out from crash, after your population hits over 200 you'll notice the game stuttering like crazy even at a high fps. they need to fix MP. todays patch did nothing for me.

I downloaded it for the 2 hour refund and it was what i was expecting and maybe even more, ive played 10 hours so far and about to play more. its more like a tower defense than dota 2.

You miss a big package of fun if you didnt buy it. Besides that i wanted to say, add me as a friend in steam.
