CD a.i is the only a.i that uses both walls and formations. Although if you play with the new a.i you can tell allies to build a wall around their town and they will wall them selves up.

When I was playing 2v2, with HD AI vs 2xDE AI on Hard, DE AI beat it easily.
DE AI in Imperial age plays similar to HD AI did in HD version in castle age. So it will mass units like crazy, usually gold units+ram and later trebs. If it will run out of gold, it will start sending massive armies of trash. Problem with DE is that it will actually micro and turn units back after few castle shots. HD never did this and if you killed the rams rest of it's army was destroyed by castles.
But than again I am bad at this game lol. It took me over 2 hours to beat DE AI on Hard in 1v1.
The DE AI would go crazy or start spamming low-medium-high cost soldiers ?
My plan is just to neutralize 1 AI by tower rush so I can keep pace with all of them, put up good defenses and break alliance, convert more AI unique and heavy units and play to infinity.
But as the opponents’ ally help his embattled teammate, my ally is becoming strong and eventually overrun and destroy the Bulgarian enemy and will March towards the Lithuanians with little resistance. If I become softer to the Lithuanians my plans for the game will be ruined. I’ve been reloading saved game after saved games and trying to figure out the best approach.
I’ve been delaying my market so my ally can’t trade early or barring its villager/s on my encampment from chopping down trees and gathering my reserved mines. My last approach will be to steal his gold and stones. Idk if there is a way to get my ally longbows archers or any units so I can control and reduce his assault on our enemies?
That’s why I’ve asked info about various types of AI for my next play through. Thanks to all the inputs!
