Why do the villagers all look alike ?
I noticed that in AOE3 every culture of villagers all look different where on AOE2 DE the women have the same shoulder length hair with a dress on. Shouldn't the asian women resemble asian women with their traditional dress on ? Also hairstyles should be different in every culture for the villagers.

On AOE3 every culture is unique looking, and even the villagers in their traditonal clothes.

Thats not the way it was developed back then. It doesnt matter. The unique units that come out of castles is what truly gives your civilization of choice its face and character. Move on.

Something tells me you never played Age of Kings/Conquerors...
If somebody actually cares about this sort of thing, it's bound to show up as a mod eventually.

Which is why Mesoamerican civs have unique Monk appearances and score of other unique units, I'm sure.

OP the truth is honestly that before the sprites were high quality it wasn't noticeable. Now I'd definitely like them to patch in some historically accurate appearances for non-European but it's a slippery slope of "when do we stop?" like the civs from africa that were black should definitely have skin tones to match their unique units. But then you get into the problem of why they're wearing distinctly european armor. At that point do you give new skins for the barracks, archery range, and stable units to mesoamerican, african, middle eastern, and asian civs? And then you also open up the can of worms of most of the civs no longer looking like age of empires 2. And also the question of how the devs can justify such a large amount of work when the game is already out and they just extensively reworked the sprites and animation for every unit in the game.

Than AOE3 till looks better with graphics, and is more put together without a stupid DLC than Aoe2DE. Bad enough not everyone can play the game unless they have 24 gigs of ram

On Aoe3 you can recognise a civ by just the architecture, the clothes and the skin tone, and that's a big thing as far as enjoying and respecting a game.

Even though I cannot play Aoe2 due to the fact that stupid DLC eats up my ram I rather play AOE3 because it's very unique, and the civs all have their own character.

I played Age of Kings but I quit because O.A.D. came out,and has better graphics than those games.

The fact I can't play AOE2 with the HD DLC I rather not play it at all because the idea of playing the game was to enjoy it with better graphics.

I own AOE1 DE,and even though it is high definition I don't have any problems or I don't get kicked off. My suggestion would be to remove the DLC,and add it with the AOE2 game like they did on AOEDE. I do not understand why they made the HD a DLC.

As I said I can play AOEDE anytime I want because the graphics don't come from a stupid DLC that cost alot of ram.

Heck yeah I had mods on HD 2013 installed that did just that. I was never able to find a unique villager mod so idk what OP thinks has changed
