Here is what I can say. There is a new "common" unit called the Steppe Lancer, which is a Melee Cavalry unit with 1 Tile range just like the Inca Unique Unit. I don't know what civilizations have this unit though. It's likely that it's a "Regional" unit just like Eagle Warriors and Battle Elephants.
Farms and Fish Traps can now Auto Reseed themselves though a toggle, just like in AoE1:DE. Waypoints are implemented into the game (Just like in games like Starcraft and Red Alert 2) and Villagers can use them to do several tasks in order (ie. Build a House then go chop wood). Queues are much more dynamic in AoE2:DE. Technologies can now be queued, multiple unit types can be queued and you can even mix building units and researching techs (ie. build 3 Pikemen in the Barracks, research Squires, then build several Swordsmen).
There is an expanded tutorial that teaches you the basics on playing typical skirmish games online, such as Build Orders and properly advancing to the Feudal Age as quickly and efficiently as possible. The Spectator Mode is suppose to be much better and the Netcode for Multiplayer is changed to a server based model. LAN is still in DE, according to Forgotten Empires, but nothing much has been said about it.
That's basically what's already made public during the E3 Interview with Adam Isgreen.
Also hope they'll let you take giant screenshots of the whole maps again too.
Exactly. Military units suiciding themselves by default breaks this game for me. It is too fiddly trying to control them all as they come out of their buildings.
