maybe the dev uploaded the wrong executable? i'm not sure how uploading games on steam works

had that on my first launch, relaunched a couple minutes later and its working fine now

Yup have same here. Have updated drivers, restarted system, reinstalled etc. Still getting the issue. These things happen with new games, I expect the issue to be resolved within a few days.

wanted to research again to see if the solution was posted anywhere. unfortunately not but there is another steam discussion & reddit post about this so the solution might get posted in one of those threads these upcoming days / also hoping the developer notices this since no response yet from the developer to my knowledge

Developer did respond in the animal well discord server
"Hey everyone I’m aware of the issue where the game isn’t launching for a few people. I don’t have the pc hardware to reproduce it currently so the fix is going to take a little bit."

When I try opening the game it just show a black window then close it and stop the program right after. Here are some of my information about the bug I am experiencing.

you know, i experienced something like this for another game and i tried the instructions here. Could you try this and see if it fixes your black screen issues?

On the game i tried it for, it fixed the black screen loading issue for me. Please try it out ASAP and report back to me. I would like to know if this also fixes it for this game.

If anyone wants to try it out, it is fine. It does not mess with anything else as i played over 10 games since trying this out myself.
