ATHENA - Goddess of Assassins?

While I was curious about the new Athena pack/gear which was recently released, I was also surprised at the skill focus of assassin. Either the set was created to add assassin support for those not commited to this branch, or the branch was lacking in set varieties.

I had thought Athena was a patron god of warriors, not to be confused with Ares, whom is associated with war, and all it's positives and negatives as an act, not as an individual.

Looking up Athena for specifics brought this up:

Athena, also referred to as Athene, is a very important goddess of many things. She is goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill.

Anyways, it's a good looking set, and I'm torn as whether to get, since the focus is Assassin, which I haven't commited to, and I've pretty much finished my play through with Kassandra. When I replay with Alexios, this set wouldn't be my focus, even cosmetically, since he'll get the full Spartan warrior treatment.

Copy pasting the exact same thing from another post is a bit odd. It'd be nice if you jumped in and added to the conversation.

Did you purchase the Athena set? Have anything to add or observe about Athena as it relates to Kass or other female warrior/fighters in recent media?

Yeah, if you could just report 'thebadmotherfck' for ..well the username being insanely unacceptable, bigotry, personal attacks and generally being a scumbag because I told him he was wrong, that'd be great.

But back to the topic, I think it works with the game, and given that the other god kits work for how the god would fight; like Ares' items working as a kind of 'screw it, lemme just swing this harder' as opposed to..thinking of how to use the weapon.

Perhaps to give it a single name: you could say she's the Genius Goddess. So I guess that would also include Assassination, because what can't a genius do? :P

Above all she is the Goddess of ''understanding''. So in that light it makes sense she was associated with many things that required advanced understanding of one form or another.

tho in this case it might be related to the whole Isu story with ''Minerva'' essentially being the patron for the Assassin's I guess?

Fun movie but completely unrealistic. The best female MMA fighter in the world, Amanda Nunes, would get beaten to death by a male MMA fighter in her weight class (135). Like, literally, to death.

''Fighters'' these days are just sports people. I don't doubt all of them would get beating to death in the kinds of fights we often see in games.
