Legendary Gear is Trash

Why do they suck so hard? I get three enchancements along with an engraving on epic loot but only two enhancements with one engraving and one shared bonus enhancement? There is no benefit to choosing legendary gear over epic gear other than fashion.

I just watched this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLjMhKUFjn0 and I will admit, they look awesome. But since ubisoft turned AC into a RPG, they are incredibly underpowered for being "Legendary"

EDIT . . . are you talking about the Greek Heroes set? There is no Greece Champion set in the vid

That's what I've been doing, I just fail to grasp the concept of what they were going for when they decided that legendary armor/weapons would have less bonuses than epic gear

Use them or dont. If you want to minmax in this game just go for epics. Otherwise choose legendaries for the looks and somewat nice setbonuses.
Its not a game were you have to minmax at all tho. I still faceroll all the content with my achilleus armor and some epic weapon.^^

My whole 2 drachmae on the armor issue boils down to how you want to build your character. You can wear all trash gear and still beat the game without issues, so at the end of the day its all about how you want to customize your character.

Are you the roler player type? The min-maxer? The fashionista? Well you are in luck because you can use whatever you want and still be effective. Its a single player game, you are not raiding in an MMO.

On weapons, if you use legendary weapons you can have 2 legendary perks per weapon thanks to engraving, where as an epic weapon will allow you to have 1 legendary perk. So I always run legendary weapons.

On armor, its where there are more options. If you wear a full set of legendary you can engrave each piece with a unqiue legendary perk each. Which would allow you to have 6 legendary perks on the armor. (5 unique plus the full set perk.)

If you decide to run epic, you have the ability to have 5 extra normal perks but only 5 legendary engravings. You are also subjected to RNG on the regular perks for the epic gear, since the normal perks that come with the legendary set, are somewhat tailored to a specific build. (e.g. Pirate set is suited for assasination builds, viper set for poison, etc.)

So you can either add an extra normal engraving to the legendary set to suit the build or choose a unique legendary engraving. Choice is yours.

And lastly for fashion, legendary gear sets look good, and they match. If you decide to go with epic gear for min-maxing you will probably end up having pieces from different sets, unless RNGsus blesses you. :)
