The refrain mode add 2 more playable character that the original does not have
Thats how it works. It makes the early game easier having a full party.
Only JRPG I've replayed more than 7 times is SaGa Frontier 2 because that had a proper awesome story and also fun gameplay.
I actually thought "Refrain Mode" would give us some new story content and stuff like that different from the "Original Mode".
From what you guys are saying it just unlocks dlc characters and custumes when we hit town XD
Since I'm only planning playing through this game once, I guess Refrain mode it is then.
Shame about the spoilers though. The new characters just seem to - *poof* "Hey I'm here I'll help you fight evil and stuff" XD
Anyway, the game looks pretty good.
They didn't re-write the story or anything to accomodate these two characters, they're just extras you can use with their own sub-events.
So if you use them while progressing into the story, you'll end up encountering their counterparts.
Just don't use them while progressing the story and it should be fine.
