So who is the girl with the music box?

I finished the game but I clearly must have missed something because this part of the story was not adressed at all. I always assumed that it was either Kirika or Sonia seeing as Yuma had the sense that he knew them somehow, as stupid as it would have been, but even after finishing the game its never adressed.

So what did I miss, when is it explained does anyone know?

Speak to the Grimoire girl, she has extra scenes for the 4 main heroines if they were your "choice" before the final battle.

To me, the art makes it clear it's Kirika, none of the other girls has blonde hair, but yep, each one of them happened to be on that same forest, in welant, and found the dragon AND had a music box.

It's left open to be any of the girls. It's mostly just a fanservice event for waifu appreciation.

This is why its stupid :D I kinda figured it would be this but oh man, not only that the girl is clearly blond, but she also has healing magic, its obviously Kirika. But that is not even the worst thing about this, how in freaking crap would Kirika not remember meeting the shining dragon... She said herself she was training to become Diva Magica from very young age, even if she was very young at that point she would have to remember. I think every elf would be able to recognize the legendary dragon of whom they sing songs, the same goes for any of the other girls o.O

its your waifu... who is your waifu... logically speaking its only 2 choices Kirika or Sonia that was in the PS3 form... but the PS4 version your open to a WHOLE lot of possibilities

After watching all of them, the one that makes more sense is actually Rinna. The girl dresses like Kirika, but as children they could have dressed the same, and the hair is kind of shaded, could be blonde, could be brown, could be grey ... but black is unlikely. Also, Excella says this happened in Astoria, I don't remember where was Yuma adopted, Wellant or Astoria, nor do I know if Kirika and Rinna left Wellant to Astoria as children. It's nice they try to give all the options, but they should not ad incongruities...

And I think Rinna is the one that makes more sense because she actually remembers Yuma, she is THE ONLY ONE, everyone else don't know how to 1 + 1 if we consider dragons have been extinct until the empire has started to resurrect the lesser ones in this war...

Well, for Kirika I presume that she don't remember cuz that dragon she meet is the restraint form of shining dragon so she don't know about other form in her books or anything. and about the song she don't remember because of distortion and nobody knows when that distortion was created. this is my opinion about this cuz every girl has a great discrepancy in her past but this probably is designed to make everyone the music box girl.

I agree, I love the fact that it kinda accepts your choice and gives you one more thing that connects you to your love but.. yea, it introduces a lot of plot holes, its funny that even the main girls its still quite unlikely that this would possibly happen :D

Imo Excella makes the most sense, by the time she was 7 she had a lot of dragons around her, one more wouldnt necessarily make such a difference, nor would she recognize it as the dragon from legends.

Well Kirika recognizes Shinign Dragon the first time Yuma tranforms at the begining of the game, and the version se would have seen when she was young was the same as that one, so she should know who it was back then as well remember when Yuma transformed.
But yea, you could make that cheap excuse and just drop everything on distortion, that they would not remember because of some grimoire distortion or because of Deus somehow, but that was never adressed at all so our headcanon explanations are all we have :D

Sonia and Kirika were there to save the shining dragon vessel, so they already know that Yuma is the shining dragon, obviously she recognizes him as the legend. and after the events of grimoire and refrain mode we can see how powerful distortions can be. but like I said every after story has his flaws to make everyone the music box girl.
