Map Color Palette Way Off
I purchased the game last month and am only now starting to play it. The map colors are way off. Instead of (I assume) are suppose to be greens and browns I'm seeing a lot of reds and orange. How do I correct this problem?

Off the top of my head, I think you may have your COLORBLIND CORRECTION enabled.

In Options look on the very top TAB named GENERAL , right under Language you will see the Colorblind settings. Check that and see if that fixes it maybe. Just set it to OFF .

Either way, fix or no, let me know and if need be I will look into it further for you. Chances are a Dev , or someone that has had same issue will see this and answer also.

Good Luck !

Thank you, for the suggestion. The color blind setting was "Off" but I tried the different options to see if that might correct the problem. I found the "protanope" setting at least toned down the brightness of the red hue, so the map is at least easier to view. So, that helped, but the underlying problem remains.

OK, try verifying your game files in your STEAM Library and I WILL SEE WHAT ELSE i CAN FIND OUT ALSO.

@Dr. Tar: if the colors are like in the screenshot linked below, and also if when you click on your units you can't see the orange movement outline, this is a known issue with certain GPU models.

The workaround is as follows:
1. Go to Options/Video
2. Set the Video Quality Preset to "Custom"
3. Set Smoothing to either FXAA or "Off"

If this still does not help, please post a screenshot so I can take a look.

(moving the thread to Technical Support)

Cheers!

I don't think this is a bug on our side. I would recommend the following:

1. Unsubscribe from all mods in the Steam Workshop (if you don't know what that is, or you haven't subscribed to any mods, skip this step).

2. Update your graphics card driver.

If you are not able to get the game to run with normal colors, even after a driver update, then you should request a refund from Steam. The screenshot does not point to anything that would be fixable from our side.

Cheers!

Seeing your System Specs now , it appears you are either right on the Minimum System Specs and/or just below them and that may well be the cause of the odd color palette issues .

I will keep a eye out for others having any similar issues in this game, or even others that have similar sys reqs and run on like engines. If I see or hear anything I will let you know asap.
