Future Soviet DLC discussion
Considering that every major German offensive of WW2 has been covered in three different expansions, the Western Allies are pretty much completely covered in the base campaign and 2x2 already have a baseline to work off from the 'Moscow 41' campaign I think it's safe to say that the next DLC will be Soviet in nature (unless 2x2 decide Stalingrad will be the last dlc they release which I would really hope is not the case).

But the question is how will they handle it? The way I see is they could do it in two different ways:
1. Split future Soviet operations and offensives into two separate expansions: one that goes from Stalingrad to Kursk (including all the other offensives across the front in that time) and a second expansion that would cover Bagration to Berlin. This would allow them to cover each expansion in detail and perhaps find ways to include a-historical routes (following a successful Operation Mars for instance?).
2. The way I would personally prefer it done would be to have all of the above be part of one big grand campaign, perhaps even 40+ scenarios in length, similar to the size of 'Victory in the West'. This would almost certainly mean a late summer or even fall release date for such a DLC if we take the current pace of the recent expansions but I wouldn't mind waiting for such content. I would prefer this for both continuity's (keeping units and HQs together through such a massive campaign) as well as the fact that the Eastern Front has been the site of multiple expansions in a row. If they went with something like option 1 it would mean 5(!) straight expansions all focusing on this one (admittedly the most important) front of the war. As much fun as I've had with the recent expansions I'll admit I'm a little weary to return to places like Rostov for the fifth time!

What do you guys think? Maybe they should even focus on a different theatre, such as North Africa (which I don't think would work particularly well) or East Asia (which I think could be brilliant). No matter which way they go, I have no doubt the fine folks at 2x2 Games will absolutely nail it and I can't wait to see what comes next!

North Afrika deserves one more DLC (1940-1942)

I'd like to see them release a completely alternate history campaign where the Germans decide to go South instead of East - invading Turkey, passing through Spain, landing in North Africa and the Levant, and heading ultimately for the oil wells in Persia. Opposition would be the British Commonwealth initially, with the USA and Soviets intervening.

Personally I'm happy with any new historical content being put out there by the developers (please say theres lots more to come!!). However if pushed I would love to see the following:
- German offensive in Kursk 43 (be nice to play with some of the german mid-late war AFVs)
- Soviet campaigns as mentioned in op, Bagration would be great
- Berlin. Id equally like to play as the Germans on the defence and the Soviets for this theatre. Either, or both is fine by me!! (both) :D
- Early Desert War campaigns
- Pacific

Clearly there are lots of possibilities moving forward. How many copies of the game do we all need to buy to make these happen?!

If UoC is any indication of how they are going to do UoC 2 the next DLC will be the Russian side of Fall Blau. Likely starting from the Defense of Stalingrad and having alternate paths based on how successful you've been with Uranus/Saturn/Mars (similar to UoC). After that it will be the 'Red Turn' which will cover Rumyantsev, the Russian side of Kursk, and Bagration until the fall of Berlin. My thoughts are that those will likely be the last DLCs and they might spend some time integrating all the campaigns better or adding updates to the DLCs. Maybe we'll get more goofy Operation Unthinkable content.

I remember they indicated that they aren't considering the Pacific due to unit size and Naval integration being hard to do will. I'm unsure if Africa will be a thing, the Unit sizes are often small and the field of operation is really thin and hard to make interesting.

I'm alawys in for new campagins. Now, it seems they are recreating camapigns from UoC 1.

What I really like to see, is some early or mid cold war era DLCs or, (even more) grand camaping with in total war style. Where player decide when and where armies go and fight. Where player has an impact on division composition...

Pacific is also a dream DLC for WW2.. Maybe Burma theater could be made...

Just need more, much much more UoC2. What a great game. UoC1 was good, this is the best. As much a scenario's put in big campaigns please. Wouldn't mind a huge desert campaign (both sides covered, with a hypothetical end like zhe German going for Persia).

I think two dlc to cover the soviet 1943-45 campaigns would be good.

IMO a Soviet campaign is a must. How can you have a WW2 game about the European war without including the Soviet side as a playable faction? Especially after you've already included the Germans and the Western Allies.

Face it. After June 1941, WW2 in Europe was basically the Soviets fighting the Germans. The Western Allies were batting cleanup when they invaded France.
