Post Your Final Score!
I just completed the final scenario, and so it's time to throw down your scores for bragging rights. I got a score of 7914, post yours with some proof!

10664, classic.
Seems its more logical to go down the historical Italy path for more points.

The alternate Italy path has at least one more scenario. But that's still 3 missions to 4 right now.

Yeah, I don't know if the extra mission means more points though. I guess I scored higher than you as you get a score penalty for each restart, and to get all gold I imagine one or two restarts were needed.

EDIT: Looks like I also had another mission due to poor performance in Market Garden.

But that scenario is not in the game yet, right? One after Ljubljana Gap?

Ljubljana Gap was the one extra scenario. All American had only done 2 missions using the alternate path.

I didn't know this. Could be the case, as I indeed restarted many times than just one or two.

I couldn't get to Ljubljana Gap scenario either since I wasn't able to take Trieste on time. Proved virtually impossible without using paras, of which I had ran out by that point.

I think there may be an extra mission on the alternative history path if you fail to take Rome when it's a secondary objective (which I did fail due to rolling bad and ruining the city on the first attack). 4th Cassino mission then pushes you right back to Cassino and you have to retake Monte Cassino (and all the other secondaries you may have completed the mission before), even if you were at the gates of Rome. I imagine if you take Rome in the mission I failed, 4th Cassino is skipped.

It does seem fairly likely that failing some secondary objectives leads to more missions and hence a higher score. It also gives more opportunity for losses... or XP and prestige gain.

Just finished my first full campaign. 11717 on classic.

I was doing some of the battles for the first time, but I also have a lot of beta testing under my belt.

Mostly gold victories, some regular victories and a handful of restarts (4, I think - Husky, Avalanche, Battle of the Bulge and Rhin et Danube)

I did the accelerated Italy path, but didn't take Trieste and so no Ljubljiana. Also I took the "Continued Operations" path and so missed out on the Scheldt battle. I had some notable wins (all objectives on Market Garden), and a few lucky wins as well.

I could perhaps manage 13000 if I did classic again - the 2 late-game restarts hurt my score quite a bit! But I reckon I'm ready for hard now. Here goes.
I'm curious, how did you do the Race Across France scenario all objectives complete within the time frame? It's a bit insane how far you have to travel, how few units you have, the AI tendency to entrench in cities and that random French armoured division spawns on the far left side of the map making it useless for the first few turns...

Restart is only a 50 score penalty. You only see huge decreases in the score display when you restart because it deducts the score you get in the unfinished mission.

You can spend a truck card to mobilize your entire army. Also don't get tied down by stragglers. You should be able to reach Nancy outskirt in 2 turns just in time for the enemy spawn.
