Bonus Objective Symbols

Hi guys,

A quick question: Is there somewhere an overview of all possible bonus objectives and what their respective symbols mean?

I just started playing the game yesterday, finished the tutorials, and am now in the very first (real) campaign mission. There are multiple optional bonus objectives to be completed, but I have no clue which ones to pursue because I do not know which rewards they provide exactly.

There is a written description of each type of bonus objective in the game manual, but perhaps for revision 8 of the manual some graphics could be included.

I was asking myself exactly the same question yesterday!

Thanks for the fast reply. I already had a look at the manual, but unfortunately, as you say, it's only a written description without any symbols.

To be honest, for me, as a new player, that's not very helpful since it's almost impossible to match every symbol that I see in the game to these written descriptions.

I think I recall one of the devs said they have a mouse over tooltip for the bonus objectives on their QoL to do list.

But briefly: + means you get a bonus card, HQ means you get an HQ upgrade, S in a box means you get a specialist step, the oil drums mean you get better supply (the percentage chance to supply a unit, seeat the very top middle of the ui) and other letters usually mean you either just get the prestige bonus (all bonus objectives always give some prestige) or sometimes it gives you an advantage in your next mission (your units are positioned better at the start of the mission giving you an advantage). I think that's it.

@all: the plan is to review how objectives work, document them better in the manual, and add detailed tooltips - in one of the future updates. Nothing has been decided firmly just yet (sleeping off the DLC release) but at least the tooltips would solve the issue of explaining the objective symbols.
