I understand, I think, what kind of wargame this is. I am in the Logistics tutorial, though, and I can't make it do what the game wants. It says for me to capture Alexandria and place a new supply hub there. I rolled up with my tanks, drove the enemy out, and killed it. I click on the truck and arrow button as indicated and then left-click on Alexandria, but no supply hub appears. What am I not understanding?

Alexandria is not connected to the main supply network yet due to the enemy infantry unit that you surround at the start of the scenario sitting on top of the railway connecting it to the network. Take out that unit and you should be able to progress.

Yup, that was it. I didn't see that the bridge in the south was destroyed, so I assume that blocked supply flow? Also, how can I tell WHY I can't extend supply? In the final HQ tutorial, I was playing around. My tank crossed the river, which put it out of supply. I couldn't build any supply hubs along the roads very far.

You can only build supply hubs on supplied hexes, and can't build it on some rough terrain.

Rail hexes (thick lines) are extremely important for supply.

Destroyed bridges do indeed block railway supply sources.
If you can't repair the bridge (usually because you don't own either side, or an enemy unit is on the opposite side), then you can still get supply across with pontoon bridges next to the railway bridge.
But that doesn't extend the railway supply source, so you'd have to use supply dumps from there on.

I see that. Thank you all for the help. I believe it was the destroyed bridge. The tutorial was a bit unclear.
