Assetto Corsa Competizione

Antialiasing waaaaay to blurry, no fun at all.
Is there a way to turn off Antialiasing? It's horrible blurry.

Edit:
I found the reason today, see in post #9

Use Epic AA and Temporal mode - if you have the hardware crack up the scaling - then it will be not blurry. ;)

and you realise of course...that turning OFF AA would most likely not improve the situation......

haha ofcourse you are right, turning off would make it worse :D I don't understand why msaa isn't always included. i ll try geforce dsr (downsampling) for now.

Resolution scale to 120

MSAA isn compatible with various other graphical technologies used in ACC. Its quite common for it to be missing in modern titles these days, downsampling has pretty much replaced it these days.

Reshade luma sharpen helps with TAA, but yeah. Most devs having this issue with UE4.

I would like to be able to turn AA off, I'm running at 4K so it's not really necessary at all.

okay, i finally got my solution.
Again, it was so terrible blurry to me, i actually refunded it, just to buy it again today :P
I got a setup on my TV. And windows 10 did always scale windows, icons, and fonts bigger, to let you see them better on a distance. Somehow this scaling interrupted with die AA ingame, i couldn't read anything on the car's dashboard. As i started it today on my normal Monitor it looked way sharper, but on my TV it was still blurry. So i changed the automatic windows scaling to 100% and now its super sharp.
Normal Assetto corsa and other games always worked well for me.

It's a pretty common practice in games nowadays to make them horribly blurry. I assume it has something to do with consoles and 60" 1080p TV's with gigantic pixels, otherwise I cannot even begin to understand why developers would do that. Usually you can eliminate it with ReShade and make a game look like they way it should look: sharp, natural and with vivid colors.

Using resolution scale should absolutely not be necessary to make a game look sharp on 1080p or above. The fact that people are genuinely suggesting that is a very damning statement about the game's looks.

TAA, MLAA, and all that crap makes images blurry. Real AA like SSAA doesn't.

This is going to sound stupid, but make sure Motition Blur is off..

infact games shouldn't even alowe or have this option to begin with..

Your "real AA" leaves all sorts of sub pixel elements and makes games look like garbage. What you call blurriness isnt blurr at all. But something significantly closer to photo realistic. Artifical sharpness from weak AA is the biggest contributor to why games look so fake in comparison to animated movies with significantly worse graphical effects.

Turn off AA, turn up resolution sampling.

Just turn up the sharpning on your tv.
