Non VR version
This game looks cool and I’ve beem waiting years for a good boxing game on PC does anyone know if the devs would release a non VR version for PC, I’m sure there would be quite a big market for a quality boxing game

It would have to be an entirely different game. Once you try it in VR you will understand why. It's a totally different experience in VR than just mashing keys or buttons. If you have the means you owe it to yourself to try boxing in VR.

And i realy would love to have it on my Gameboy Color. Please devs, do this!

OP makes me remember about an awesome Rocky game I used to play on ps2. Controllers died, friends got mad... Good times!

I don’t fancy buying a whole VR headset for one game, however I’m sure it’s an awesome experience in VR.

My only hope for a boxing game on pc now rests with an indie title called Project Boxing although it’s still in early development.

Some things are true, but the thing is, it is developed pure for vr. All the mechanics are for vr. In fact it would be harder to make this a nonvr-experience than doing a pcport of an average ps4-game. if you have no ps4 and want to play a ps4 game everybody would tell you to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buy a ps4. but for vr ppl now think it is easy and possible to downgrade to 2d-button-smashing-gaming.

It's not.

VR have too much limitations:

- its bulky
- heavy
- people have motion sickness
- it's expensive
- can't find to buy outside of usa

and most people don't even have space in their homes to use it.

Maybe when they send the game directly to our brains, then it's a downgrade.
Not sure you've ever tried VR friend. It's not bulky or heavy, at least not the current consumer grade generation. You will eventually get over motion sickness but yes it does affect people differently. Eventually you will get over it, I was one of those people who would get sick if I read in a moving car but once I gained my VR legs it hasn't been a problem since. Also this game specifically would not make you sick because it doesn't really use a lot of artificial locomotion - which is what most people get sick from.

I can imagine it's hard to purchase outside of the USA so I totally understand that point and yes it can be expensive. In the USA you can buy a Windows Mixed Reality headset though for $150 if you look for a sale and it has motion controllers. You do need a decent GPU though. PSVR is a great alternative and offers a very close experience. It lacks full roomscale and doesn't have 360 degree hand presence but it's quite impressive for the price.

Other games support both vr and non vr versions, I just thought the pc needs a good mainstream boxing game and the devs could exploit a gap in the market with an already established game.

I'm pretty sure there is a good flat screen boxing game out there like any other sport.
You are just one of those guys who roams the VR forums and cry whenever there's something build for VR.

These peeps develop VR games get over it.

WMR is $200+taxes in US, delivery to Ukraine is $10 + customs ~$20. So $250 is for new WMR (yes, it suxx due to fresnel lens) VR. A super-duper videocard will cost some $400-700.
A square meter of apartment in Kyiv suburbs costs $600 (may add a 0 for some apartments in the center), to play you need at least 2, or better 9 - which is thousands of USD and other complications :).

And one more SERIOUS issue - you don't see what's around while weraing VR = danger to your life.

What could still be fun is using VR controllers + some tracking device so you can look at the screen of your TV/monitor, move around either physically or with controllers - minimal to no changes into the code.

You don't need a super duper card to run VR... I had GTX 1060 3G ($220) and could run VR just fine.

Regarding awareness of your surrounds; you can set the space boundaries in VR so you don't bump into things.

First off the fresnel lens don't make WMR "suck." The biggest issue with WMR is the inside out tracking loses tracking if your hands are out of view for too long. I've been wearing VR helmets for years and you know what - I'm still around even with a toddler and a baby.

I managed to get in VR for a total of $1,000 USD and that was without even shopping around. It's not that expensive. If you want a cheaper option look at PSVR which is decent.

Your suggestion about looking at the TV has been tried. It was done with Wii, PS3 Move, and Kinect 1 & 2. It doesn't feel that immersive compared to being able to look and walk around in VR. I can tell you haven't tried VR to think that is even a comparable experience.

All those other games use more traditional controls. This game is controlled by moving your hands and head. If they changed that to work with non-vr controls it would be an entirely different game
