even if it does - dont rely on it, that s most likely a bug rather than feature. Original steam world dig's linux steam build used to be drm-free too - then they've patched it and thats not a thing anymore
Yo, I don't think you know how Epic works.
On that note, thanks to the developers for not caving in to Epic exclusivity like so many others right now.
I don't like DRM, thats why my favorite site is GOG, steam is for smaller games like casual games, which i usually buy first at a large sale , after the game turns out to run without steam, i will buy the second game at release, BUT should the game get DRM again its back to the list of DRM games, and i will hide the games in steam, i mean running a client to save install games is 'okay' ( note the quotes) BUT DRM is bad
I have a round 90 steam games ( of too many games) that turned out to need the client so i uninstalled them and hid them in my account no DRM for me sorry, i love to support small developpers, usually also by some DLC but please no DRM, in the past before all the digital platforms existed
there was only retail : good old retail, 90% was also loaded with all kinds of DRM
securom, tages, all very nasty DRM but at least we could run it without need of a client running thats why i spend 1000's of euros ( guilders in the past) on games, but client, no thank you sir...
I own every old Artifex game here at steam, always buy at release, should the games need to run the client to make game run, i will wait for a huge sales and get them at 3 euros, preferably at 99 cents.
Anyway as long as devs develop steam games i can run without client ( client does not run by default on my pc) i will keep buying.
WIll buy it immediately when it launches on GoG.
