Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

GOG IS NOT "FREE"
There are 2 catches in order to access the free download on GOG those that are interested need to have an active Amazon Prime subscription.

The 2nd catch is it's not the 1996 original, it's Tomb Raider Anniversary.

Ignore what it says at the top of the page in the link that the original TR game is free to download when Anniversary is clearly not the original just a remake of the original.

The top of the page should be edited to specifically state which version is available to avoid confusion, anyone who sees that might easily think that it's the 1996 Tomb Raider that's free.

There is a plus side once downloaded subscribers can keep the game for free beyond their subscription.

Go play the remasters instead, no need to jump through hoops to play TR1.

It says in the link that Tomb Raider isn't as big as it once was.

Blame Crystal (un)Dynamics and their hatred of superior classic Tomb Raider, Crystal don't have a clue what to do with Tomb Raider IIRC Crystal have rebooted Tomb Raider twice already and moved away from the IIRC Arthurian legend storyline and turned Tomb Raider into more of a survival game.

Crystal (un)Dynamics have obviously run out of ideas for Tomb Raider so they might as well make a Tomb Raider and Hunger Games crossover and have Lara and Katniss team up to take down President Snow

However I hate how things are considered "free" with Amazon Prime. You are still parting with money for something, particularly if you weren't using Prime before. On the other hand, you get benefits with Prime aswell. I don't use Amazon enough to justify paying for Prime.

Remember this game is regularly on sale for $1 or a little bit more, so having to have an outside subscription for something isn't worth the time or effort.

I wrote this up and attached some pieces of text from top forum sites with more information.
