adrenaline dodge on PC doesn't work ???
I don't understand how to do adrenaline dodge on PC. Every time i try to do it the T-Rex hits me and does no damage to T-Rex. Lara does the dive but T-Rex still hits her. It's like Lara slows down but T-Rex does not. T-Rex doesn't run into stone structures...he just bites Lara and stops. I hit the arrow key and shift when arrows show up on the screen. What's up with Lara not dodging him ?

It looks like there is no way to skip past the T-Rex. I was having a lot of fun playing this game until i got to this T-Rex. I'll just have to quit playing. From what i have read a lot people stop playing the game at this point.

you need to keep the aim button pressed

I'll try it tomorrow. They really messed when they made this game - they should have a skip fetcher for the bosses. The biggest problem is that it is awkward to use the arrow buttons instead of the w, a, s, and d buttons. arrow buttons + shift is awkward enough and then having to hold down the right mouse on top of that without have a finger on the trigger button. The beta testers of the game should have nixed this right from the start.

you can do it with w, a, s and d but it's still a bit difficult

See Stella's written walkthrough for strategies in the fight:
https://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TRAwalk/03lostvalley.html

An "important" note in the walkthrough suggests that if you somehow skipped the first introduction of the adrenaline dodge in the game's second level City of Vilcabamba (in the "tutorial with the bear"), then it won't work later in the game when it is required, such as fighting the T-Rex or other bosses.

If you don't want to play through the game again to do the adrenaline dodge parts properly, you could download a save for The Lost Valley level (link at top of walkthrough).

Hopefully that is it. It's not working like in the YouTube video i watched. I wrote below what I'm experiencing when Lara does the adrenaline dodge on my computer.

There is something wrong with the targeting sequence after i perform the adrenaline dodge. The grey targeting circles do not appear at all. There is a rose colored target on the T-Rex that flashes red with NO audio tone for the shot but if i shoot at the red flash nothing happens for there is no hit. If i wait longer, after the flash, waiting for a tone, it doesn't come and the T-Rex just rushes up and bites Lara. I got a audio tone twice in about 25 tries with no visual indicators on the screen what so ever. When this happened I hit the T-Rex with the shot on both audio tones ( because i could see the damage indicator go down on the T-Rex) but the T-Rex doesn't follow through and crash into a wall or spikes. Like the above the T-Rex just stops and bites Lara even with a good hit to the T-Rex forehead. It looks to me like the targeting sequence is broken.

Those game save files were made in 2007 and apparently at that time worked with Steam. This is no longer true because the file structure is different now so they will not work with the
current game files.

Unfortunately, the first time through, the game froze on me at the 'bear adrenaline tutorial'. I rebooted the computer and started the game again and it froze in that spot again for the second time. I waited the second time for quite awhile and finally the game skipped over the tutorial on it own. I suppose if i started the game over it would freeze in that location again which would cause the same problem. So it's logical that is where the bug would be located in the game. At this point in time it looks like the game unplayable for me.

The downloadable save files are still compatible with the current Steam version.
Follow the instructions in the readme.txt file inside the zip download, noting that "My Documents" is a Windows folder, not a game folder, and is just called "Documents" on newer versions of Windows.
For example: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\
It will also appear as a shortcut directly under "This PC", or in "Quick Access".

Linux? A quick web search for "proton save location" produced this:
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/<gameid>/pfx/

For TR:A, <gameid> is 8000

Try verify the game files integrity. Maybe your game got corrupted files.

Yeah i tried that and the Steam says the files are fine. I'll just have to start the game over and hope it doesn't freeze again.

I just did 10 runs at it in a row. I have v-sync turned off, and I did get the adrenaline dodge tutorial, and the dodge works 1 in 5 times. the other 4 Laura either does her normal dodge jump, or stands there and gets eaten.

This whole thing is dumb. I am also replaying the original game at the same time just because. This whole thing was handled way better in 93. I hate this period of time where everything needed to be quick time event. arghhh....

It does work. You have to press Shift + A (S,D,W) when you see the prompts, and then wait for the ping to happen, at which time you can shoot. Take a few ties, but it does work. I tried it just now to kill the Centaur bosses. Once you understand how this works, the T-Rex and Centaurs are quite easy.
