Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Other adventure games like TR: A.
Please could someone advise me an adventure game like this one, I mean a game with accent on solving puzzles and finding different items/artifacts.
P. S. I've already played all of Prince of Persia games and especially enjoyed Sands of Time and Warrior Within. I also played TR: Legend, but it was not so fun as Anniversary. Actually the only level that I really enjoyed in Legend was Croft Manor.
Oh, and sorry for my English if I made some mistakes, it is not my native language.

Tomb Raider fan right here since 1996.

Tomb Raider games are lots of fun. Some I have played thousands of times (literally). Not so sure on what other kind of "Tomb Raiding" you're looking for. But, nothing like Tomb Raider branding itself.

If you haven't played Tomb Raider Underworld, give it a whirl! To me, best TR game in it's family.

You should try old school Tomb Raider games, if you havent already. Those games were very puzzle heavy, where you really need to think and look around. Personally I recommend Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver can be a good choice too, as a matter of fact it is made from the same developer as newer TR games.

Resident Evil HD Remaster might also be a good choice, it is very puzzle heavy, atmospheric, survival horror game, maybe not the style you are looking for, but I think it might be something to look at.

If you like Stealth based games then I would recommend old school Thief games, because those also have alot of puzzle elements and item collecting stuff in them, personally I recommend Thief II: The Metal Age.

Of course I have to mention that these games are quite old and probably not that fluid as newer ones are, but personally I would recommend older games if you want to play adventure/puzzle solving stuff, since in these modern times games like that are usually very simplefied with no need to use brains at all.

I agree, old school Tomb Raider and Soul Reaver games are very good. Resident Evil, Silent Hill is another good one Like PastCrypt mentioned.

I'd like Metal Gear Solid HD Collection come to Steam.

Some suggestions for other Games, if you enjoyed "Tomb Raider: Anniversary"

To start with, the New "Tomb Raider" (Series Re-boot) is an enjoyable romp, though a little easier than "TR: Anniversary" - decent legnth as well.

- If you have a PS 3 I would say try the "Uncharted" games if you had fun with "Anniversary" - there's 3 of them, pick them up cheap nowadays too!

- I personally really liked "Splinter Cell : Blacklist" if you liked the climbing / sneaking / puzzling aspects of TR.

- for a 2D indie title I thought "STRIDER" was a Great re-make of a classic action adventure with climbing / fighting etc

- Lastly..."Mirrors Edge" as it does the running / jumping / climbing really well - and is superb, and a flavour like no other game too!

Hope these suggestions Help you out :)

Hi, I have all the Tomb Raider games except, the latest Tomb Raider. I am not sure about it, because I seen so much change with Lara Croft, this new one seems more of a survival game, than tomb raiding? I may be wrong. I'd like to get it, but is it worth the $20?

Batman Arkham Asylum is a must.

And while its peasant only there's uncharted.. worth a mention because all three games are unspeakably good, in every way you can measure a game. Its a crime they're ps only. Its basically modern day indiana jones with a 15/10 for execution. Even the first game holds up today..
