continuous shooting

I'm having trouble shooting. she dose not shoot every time i pull the trigger and it is very difficult to smash the trigger button (that does not always fire) and jumping around like a acrobat. When I first played this game as a kid i could have sworn that she could continuously shoot. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help!

In Tomb Raider Legend, she was shooting as long as you keep pressing the trigger. But never in TRA, one trigger = one shot (except with mods)

To those who helped me, thank you very much. I was quite drunk when I wrote that. My father had a heart attack. We used to play Tomb Raider from the very first game up to Angel of Darkness. When the later ones came out, when the books were available, I would read the big walkthrough book while he played. I forgot the mechanics but now I remember. I forgot how much fun it is. Thank you again.
