TRA came out more than a decade ago and back when it did it worked on fairly low-end hardware. Your card should be able to run the game at 4K with literally hundreds of frames per second (which is obviously impractical, so just enable Vsync).

There's only one gotcha: Anti-aliasing in the game seems to be borked in that it interferes with other effects (shadows in particular). The way around it is to not use the game's AA at all, but instead use DSR to run the game in higher resolution than your normal display is - the result is multisampling AA through brute force (I use 3325x1871 with 1920x1080 final output).

To give you a general idea, the game runs on my GTX 970 at 3325x1871 with ReShade on top without ever pinging above 32% GPU utilization.

Other notes:
* You can run TexMod with the Steam version of the game, but you have to do a little switcheroo: rename the original executable to something else, then TexMod to tra.exe. Then Steam will launch TexMod.
* There's an AI upscaled intro mod, which kinda helps with the original intro's extremely low resolution.
* While there is a bunch of "next generation" texture packs for the levels, I recommend playing the game without them - they look worse than the original textures and are oversaturated by far.
