When i play low-polygonal game, having HD textures would make it look clashing and aritficial. While low-pixelated textures make it look more natural.
But it's just because i'm an artist, so i view stuff in stylistic light. When one element is lowly-detailed and other is highly-detailed, it usually looks too clashing.
To me, style is more important than technology.
Anyway, my eye sight has gone down hill so the sharper look helps me a LOT!
And there was no need for insults.
By insulting me you just insulted your own pride.
While I'm not sure if anyone still cares about anniversary remake of the 1st Tomb Raider game since we got reboot of the entire series in 2013, I've always found very disappointing that PC version never got the graphical enhancements from Tomb Raider Trilogy version of Tomb Raider Anniversary for PlayStation 3 ported over as DLC.
Anniversary Edition is running on the same engine as Legend if I'm not mistaken, thus there was no need to port the entire code from PS3 version over to PC. All that it could take was to make the game use PS3 textures and models in the same way as "next generation content" settings in Tomb Raider Legend. Kinda sad they've kept that version of the game console exclusive.
As mentioned before, community mods like TRA HD Project (available on Nexus) that replace textures with more detailed high resolution versions can't really improve the graphics that much when the game have low polygonal models.
I personally find "Outfit Fixes" mod to be of higher value than TRA HD Project, but still there is no mod that would bring it close to the better environmental light and shadows, smoother polygonal shading and overall level of detail of PS3 version.
anyway, here's what I've found:

have fun.
If we are about to provide link to HD mods for those who might be interested, I would rather direct them to actual in progress TRA HD Project mod[www.nexusmods.com]
which I've already mentioned above, rather than old abandoned mod that require obsolete method to modify the game files.
