SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION

SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION

We NEED more insane Dragon Ball games like this!
Damn, I love this game so much! I'm usually not big into card games, but SDBH: WM drew me in like no other Dragon Ball game. There are so many characters contained with this game, and so many cool-looking cards with cool effects. I also love the many "What If?" scenarios, including the fact that the What Ifs have their own What Ifs as alternate endings to the original What Ifs!

This and Fusions are definitely some of my favorite Dragon Ball games, to the point where I feel like we need more DB games like this. I get sick of the Xenoverse MMOs, fighting games, and phone games. Not saying those games are bad, but we got enough of those already. Just give us the crazy insane Japanese stuff!

Honestly, I'm glad they brought this game here, even if it took them nearly a decade to do so. It's still weird holding a physical English copy of this game, it's like I'm holding some kind of forbidden treasure or something! Sure, the game isn't perfect or a looker, but damn if it isn't awesome! Come on, Japan, keep bringing us stuff like this!

they'll probably update all the universe mission content into this, and it'll be all you need for a loooong time, until the next dbh entry.

That's probably true. I can definitely imagine myself enjoying the free updates and paid DLC (if they do any paid DLC, that is) I imagine this game will be like the Xenoverse 2 of strategy card-game RPGs, and they'll keep updating it until they run out of stuff they can put in there. :D

the actual dragon ball heroes, yes, they keep updating as new content comes along, and with more crazy what if scenarios, the main series games that get ported (ultimate mission before this, and now this,) they typically update until the lifespan of the current set is out; which with Universe Mission 8 coming out in may, is pretty soon. although with it being the first major worldwide release, I wouldn't be surprised if they released future sets... But a lot of the times with the new missions new game mechanics and such are introduced, so it'll probably have to be a new game entirely...

We should count ourselves lucky that they included the cards from EVERY mission before sdbh through stickers and accessories, because you can remake every single card from jm, um, original DBH set, etc... They didn't have to do that, but they did, and it makes the game so crazily expansive in custom missions and such that there's going to be pretty much unlimited gameplay, already can see myself spending more time than disgaea 5.

Damn, yeah that does sound pretty enticing. The custom missions are definitely fun, and I can't wait to see how much content they add to this game. Really hope they add more arcade stuff too, since I love how several of the arcade campaigns use different mechanics to how you traverse the board. :)

"Legendary Clear Conditions" also exist in custom missions, be sure to read the fine print; which is all the arcade does to differentiate the spots you can go.

on the note of card games which make holographic figures, they should've kept doing that for the yugioh games, they did for the first few, even on the ds there were some graphics, no wthere's none.... meanwhile this game visually shows you everything down to the effects and transformations/auras you give. that's one of the things that makes this game so good too imo

Yeah, I wish the Yugioh games kept those as well. Holographic figures were my favorite part. :D And damn, there's a lot about this game I like now that I think about it. I love the small city area, the character designs, the insane amount of stuff to do, etc.

Honestly if the next Xenoverse game just became

Super Dragonball Xenoverse Heroes and was the action rpg version of Heroes like everyone wanted when the games were first announced instead of the same storyline and moves over and over again. I'd be happy.

idk what you mean by what everyone wanted, xenoverse does a great job of doing what it does, having you control the characters with their anime accurate skills and abilities while also allowing the power scaling you know and love from dbverse. and DBHeroes does a great job of what it does, being the best damn arcade game ever.

The only disadvantage in World Mission specific is that the only story avatar option is Beat (the male earthling) instead of being able to choose and customize your hero, even though the in-world avatar is customizable through various races and classes but it feels kind of unconnected that the user is Beat without giving a choice to customize that as well.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! cards have many different anime art styles from multiple generations and thousands more cards than Dragon Ball Heroes so it would be hard to make matching holographic models for videogames that include cards from all the Yu-Gi-Oh! series.

Also Duel Links has been so far the most successful Yu-Gi-Oh! instalment and one of the most popular card products of all time with over 90 million downloads as of this year.

The thing is, I'd be ok even with DS graphics, and they had those up to when they still had something like 4700~ cards in the pool, I'm not saying have every spell and trap card do like a unique effect, but just the monsters, and having the spell/traps go like the tag force games? Yu-Gi-Oh should have been the first thing they thought of when they did the whole Carddass system
https://youtu.be/QszCpI48YbE?t=63

But it's DBH, that said, DBH honestly feels so amazing and it's so fun to play that, even though ti's not Yu-Gi-Oh! It's still the best modeled card game we have to this time.... And now that we have world mission and customization with stickers and stuff on every card, even the potara and super attacks you put on the card are modeled? like, it's way more than you can ask for... Although I wish the arcade cabinets were worldwide, because I'd still play on a carddass system over this, but this is the most faithful representation you can get with hitbox, it's just pretty amazing to feel moving your card around and having it actually move real time on screen and have holographic image both above your card and on the main battle screen @ same time... seriously need that for yugioh.

It's more when Xenoverse first came out...people that knew about Dragonball Heroes wanted Xenoverse to BE the action rpg version of Heroes. Yet we get the same story line from the tv/movie "slightly" different.

This game is pure, concentrated fanfiction at work. And no character in the game makes this more blatantly obvious than "Evil Saiyan!"

:-)

Cumber has a backstory and lore, he is just called "Evil Saiyan" in the game because it'd be spoilers.
