No controller support?

Why is the game not recognizing my Pro controller? I'm using it with bluetooth tho.

Steam see s my XB1 joypad.. Also Joypad config is working. But in the game joypad is not workin.. Joypad is woking with all the other games. I tried everything ( including big screen steam and force joypad configs.. ) but the game is not seing my joypad.. Including PS4 joypads.. and no there s no steam jopad options...

installed the game, plugged controller into other port on the computer, outlay changed to M/KB while unpluged, pluged in receiver, went back to controler scheme...

something wrong on your end...

My Xbox One controller, using official Xbox One USB adapter, is not recognized by Ni No Kuni either.
My controller 'is' correctly configured within Steam, and I have tried disabling all Steam controller profiles, to no avail.
This controller, and others, work perfectly fine with all other games, but no controllers are recognized by this game.
The only threads (aside from this one) I can find online are people playing pirated copies.
I am not playing a pirated copy - I purchased this from Steam.

Try forzing the use of Steam Input in the game properties. It's what I needed to make my controller be recognized.

I should have mentioned in my original post that I did try forcing the controller via Steam Input properties already, but no dice :(

I also removed all other game controllers from Device Manager, to make sure nothing else is conflicting, but again, not recognized.

I play with an xbox controler (360 and xbox one elite) and it work just perfectly on win10.

There's your answer, more likely than not, try wired to see if that solves it.

The game relies on Steam InputAPI, so it doesn't have native controller support.

Trying to disable the API, the game doesn't even detect xinput controllers, I don't know if I should either blame Valve for their stupid API or the developers for being lazy.

So enjoy the higher input lag introduced by the Steam Input API.

Steam will fight Windows. Windows will fight steam. Sometimes you get no input. Sometimes you get double input. Sometimes it works. That's just the state of playing games with controllers on Steam. You have to learn how to trick it / work around it. All of that said, I've had no problem at all with this game.
