Definitive Edition

So I own the base game without any of the DLC and was looking at upgrading to the Definitive Edition, if I was to buy Outward Definitive Edition from another store would it give me the upgraded version on Steam when I redeem my key or should I just buy the Three Brothers DLC and get the upgrade and still get the Soroboreans DLC along with the upgrade

Buy the DLC Three Brothers (do not buy Soroboreans, read others threads about this same topic for more info) to upgrade your game to DE and you will be fine. Does not matter where you buy Three Brothers, after redeeming the DLC Three Brothers you will get DE.

I was meaning buying the Definitive Edition in full from another website I found it cheaper than the DLC but I just want to know if buying the full game and redeeming that could will work or if since I own the base game am I stuck having to buy Three Brothers for the upgrade?

I don't know if is possible to activate the game again, because you already own the base game. From what I know is, when buying the DE you get Base Game and Three Brothers DLC together (You get Soroborens in DE in the DEFED DLC, no need to worry about this), because you already own Base Game maybe the key won't work. So I think is the better choice is just buy Three Brothers. Unless someone else comes here saying something else idk.
