or you just run through it and stop off at the alchemist to cleanse it
I'm gonna admit I just cheated through it elsewhere in the definitive edition because it's nearly impossible to remove without going there.
But you can't craft any of them or buy the better ones without going to antique plateau where the mechanic was introduced in the base game.
So if you get hit by some corrupting monsters (who didn't do that originally) and get to high amounts you need to run all over to remove it without going to plateau.
Especially since I was playing coop so there basically weren't even really enough potions in the game for two people and I didn't really want to go do a different zone right then.
Not a huge problem but definitely a bad DE change IMO
A little bit like that patch isn't too bad but there's a bunch all over.
Do not that decay damage and the coruption (the mist ) are two different things so armor with decay def dont do s.
And talking from testing and experience you can stay for a while in the mist with 0 resistence or cure and it wont be an issue , basic tainted effect isnt that big of a deal anyway so yeah.
They did had a lot of coruption in DE but i find it to be not a big deal at all.
No, not really. The alchemist in every town sells 1 or 2 of these potions (sanctifier potion to be precise) every restock (so every 3 ingame days). Just avoid the corruption zones at the beginning, and once you have some money to spare, buy the potions whenever you see them. The traveling vendor out in the field also sometimes has them, and more importantly the innocence potions. You'll easily have more of them than you'll ever need.
I kinda like to work up in stages each time though and fight through Chersonesse a bit with locally sourced equipment like the good old brutal club
I guess my min max mind always goes for the best way to get stronger fast (with cheese strategy and game mechanics abuse). And tsar claymore can be obtained fast (cheese royal manticore for one of the best and yet extremly easy to get claymore) and just a set of ash or better decay res to fight plague doc and easy tsar baymore.
Shields are busted and can be abused so early witheout needing end game armor , magic is literally the " i dont want to fight and kill everything i want"
