I wish the blood price was more relevant or could even be paid off for future generations
I am currently playing through the Sorobor Academy questline and I am struck again that the the blood price is used as motivation "stay with us and we'll make your payments" or some such, yet seems to have very little impact because, other than than the initial lighthouse quest, there are no payments to be made. I feel that the burden of making regular payments would give more weight to joining a faction that either takes care of said payments, or joining a faction that is not part of the Blue Chamber, therefore abandoning those payments.

It would also be interesting to see consequences in Cierzo if payments were abandoned. Who is suffering as a result? Could I take pity and help them even though there is no longer any debt owed?

Another thought is that I have frequently as the pile of gold bars in my stash grows is the wish that my character could pay down or pay off the debt for future generations and that would somehow have an effect on "legacy". Not to mention seeing the prosperity in Cierzo if the blood debt was paid off in a lump sum.

Does anyone else have thoughts on this topic?

I hope outward 2 mentions it in some way

Considering nearly every character I've made has gone 100+ days before joining a Faction, now that you mention it and I have to think about it it would have made a lot of sense if there was either a continual payment to make or a way to pay it off.

I agree, it would be interesting to see it involved more. As much as I love this game, a lot of aspects of it promise or hint at far more depth than what is offered. I'm looking forward to there being more depth and substance added to what they have already established.

I do believe though, given the small development team, that they did the right thing and focused on the basics. Outward is a fantastic game and there's nothing like it! So if the devs read this please don't take it as a putdown of the final product, which is my favorite game.
