"Lost Connection with Host" Multiplayer Issues
I've been trying to play Outward with some people and I can't even be the host as every time it says that I was unable to. And when I try to join someone's game, it generally takes multiple attempts to join them (I get the message "Lost connection with Host", don't change anything and try again & eventually I will be able to join).

I have tried to troubleshoot and look up this topic, with answers ranging from Firewall settings to "Having too many items causes connectivity issues" (Fresh characters btw). Does anyone have a straight answer and instructions on how to solve it so that we can join up more easily without suffering through 5-10 minutes of me trying to join someone?

Yes, but that's not related to the topic. I'm saying I can't even *host* myself for someone to join me.. and I have trouble joining others, as it takes many back to back to back attempts.

If you haven't already done so, I'd recommend trying some port forwarding for the game and see if that helps.

Seems your connection isn't stable enough. So 1st thing to do is the usual router reset. Plus, switching online region, and not using the same lobby name after one failed host/disconnections are wise things to o aswell.
Last but not least, you should berify your game files and/or playing via Steam Remote Play Together to rule out Outward's netcode.
