Do you also debug in legacy items when reaching Legacy Chests?
Is debugging in legacy items of your choice after reaching a legacy chest on a new character something many people do? How cheaty do you think it is, if at all? I don't intend to spawn in more legacy items than there are chests on the map.

I just don't really wanna go on my main character and run around the whole map planting items in chests for my new character, I'd rather just leave her be and make my new character. I've never used the legacy chest system, so I'm just not sure if doing it the way I'm suggesting would be super cheating or not.

The way I see it, I've gotten to almost every legacy chest on my main character, so all this is really saving me is an hour or two of running around preparing it for my new character. I've already kinda, like, "earned the right" to use them, since I've already reached them on my main character, right?

The only item I'd limit myself from getting is the Jewel bird mask, since I've only ever played one character before. What are your thoughts on doing this? I know I'm more than free to do whatever I want, but having a consensus for how bad or cheaty this is would help me think about it better, is all.

Sorry if this was super wordy too. No idea what happened there

Well, then only time i needed to use the legacy chest was for upgrading my iron knuckle enchanted with true power (100% damage), to a golden knuckle and maintain the double damage, so i cannot really say a thing. But what i can say is that i have a friend that used the chest to upgrade almost every item he gets, then splitscreen with his main character and get back his upgraded item.

no

Funnily enough, I was just considering doing the same thing, as my spare time is rather limited. In a very strict sense, I would consider this cheating, though, but you're not playing against other people, so it doesn't really matter if you yourself are okay with it.

I'm also having a hard time picking what legacy items I want, lol.. I want to be a Rune Sage that focuses on ethereal and lightning damage. My first legacy chest I picked out the manawall boots. For my next I was thinking the white arcane hood.. really don't know if there's better legacy chest items I should be prioritizing.

I got the white pearlbird mask on my 2nd pearlbird kill, so I've decided that I don't really want to get a black pearlbird mask. Figuring out what I wanna use my last 3 legacy chests on is pretty hard atm

I have a dedicated character for legacy chests. I just debug in items that I've already gotten naturally with that character then put the items in the legacy chest

I did not find a single legacy weapon appealing so I do the same, just for the collector in me, to get all the weapons of the type I'm using.

If you have gotten the items legit with you main and had reached all the legacy chests while playing (but didn't put anything in as you didn't know what you wanted in there) and just don't want to take the time to go put them in a legacy chest then I'd say it's not cheating whatsoever to debug the item in with a new character upon reaching the legacy chest.

The only "cheat" it is is saving you time in RL

Yeah give yourself 500 gold so you can save time too. You surely would've farmed it eventually right?
Not at all what they're saying lol. There's a huge difference between debugging in Legacy Items once you reach legacy chests and just spawning in gold out of thin air. One is hypothetically possible, the other is using debug to create items that should've and could've never been there

Wrong. There's very little difference in saving yourself time vs saving yourself time.
"you don't want to run around on an old character for an hour? you may as well just cheat in every item in the game, then" certainly is a take

You're too weak and slow to get the items that require you to make a new character to get, and require you to go to the legacy chest location twice to set up. Then you don't deserve them. Stop being weak.
"Stop being weak" says man whose entire sense of worth in the world revolves around playing single player video games without touching debugs or cheats. If you were serious about enjoying your games then you'd modify and tailor the experience to something you'd enjoy.

All I asked was the opinion of how cheaty doing this was. Nobody asked for your short petty thesis on why doing it is weak to you. Being this aggressive and elitist is, in fact, pretty weak

Mod in the ability to use the caravan to transport yourself to your desired city with a cost, instead of sleeping to reroll travel locations by default. There's your tailored experience. Without spawning in the gear like you're too afraid. Are you even playing on hardcore?
Unlike you, I do play on Hardcore. And the only mods I have installed are ones that fix the multiplayer so quest rewards aren't so buggy.

Notice how with every reply, you dig yourself a deeper and deeper hole that's just showing the couple of people looking at this thread that you're the one being weak? Why be such a snowflake about how people want to enjoy their video games mate?

That's beside the point I guess. Once you get a job you'll understand that using debug tools to save yourself time in video games to avoid doing stuff you'd rather not do is pretty valuable. Learning what parts of your games you'd rather not do and curating the ultimate experience for yourself is part of learning PC games! Consoles never have as many options as we do. You'll see it soon enough, I promise

Clueless ape. Digging itself a hole while saying I'm digging myself a hole. Hahahaha
Are you alright?

This creature thinks I'd bring up hardcore if I didn't already beat every part of this game on hardcore on many characters. Hahahahaha

Not doing a very good job at convincing me you're not weak when you break over a simple sentence or two. Might be time to log off for the day and take a breather? I'd be down to give you more advice and stuff when you're ready for it

Degenerate reject? My brother, you're the one who's this mad over a smug steam discussions reply
