So because you went to the trouble of clearing Ziggurat passage your future trips are now easier.
....actually last time, I think I just opened all the portcullises and killed all the beasts, and thought that had opened it.... first time I used the Jade Lich statue....
I think it's something they added at the last minute, because cell resets mean most normal shortcut/back entrances would be useless anyways, and that spot is one of the absolute worst pathway-enabling areas of the entire game, so they probably just dropped the bridge in to be something more permanent.
No, I'm pretty sure I've looked at that exact spot on another save before the bridge appears, because it seemed so out of place, and there was nothing. No bridge, no infrastructure, nothing. I even was able to note the exact spot it should appear based on the rich iron node right beside it, and there's just nothing there at all. Then you pull that switch and suddenly bridge.
(goes and checks on another character, who has the Jade Idol in inventory).
No, it is not.
There is no bridge visible, either lifted or sunk into the water, or retracted, or incomplete, or anything.....
There ARE a couple of glowing pillars, looking like pylons or something.
But no bridge.
