I have the Master Kazite Mask and it has same stats as it says on the wiki
I'd say double, and triple, check that when you boot up the game the title screen actually reads "Outward Definitive Edition" and not "Outward The Three Brothers" since I've seen other instances of that exact mistake in the past.

set these 2 side by side they have identical stats and the cat one is also identical to these 2.... what the hell?
it is a definitive edition because when i go to the steam store page and try to buy the definitive edition it says that its already in the library and asking if i want to play, when i view the game in the library it also says definitive edition on the picture to the right
What the store page and banner in your library say are irrelevant. The original game was replaced by the DE so all of those will say "DE" whether they are or not. Load the game and see what the main menu says.
Okay, then do us a favor. Go to Outward's store page and tell us if you have The Three Brothers DLC.
If not, then you don't have Definitive Edition, simple as that.
As I stated, if your game does NOT read "Outward Definitive Edition" on the title screen when launched, and instead just says "Outward" "Outward The Soroboreans" or "Outward The Three Brothers" then you are NOT playing Definitive Edition.
If you DO own The Three Brothers DLC, then try launching your game from your Steam library directly, you should get a pop-up to launch either Oldward or Definitive Edition.
If you're ONLY launching the game from the default shortcut created, then you've ONLY been playing Oldward since it launches that BY DEFAULT.
You can change this by going into the shortcut properties and changing the URL to steam://rungameid/1758860.
NOTE: If you have been playing Oldward instead of DE, you CAN convert your save using the tool located at https://github.com/GymMed/OutwardSaveFixer/releases, but ONLY if you actually have DE and not just Oldward (Meaning you own The Three Brothers DLC).
does it supposed to say outward the definitive edition in the library? or the title screen? why does it say this if its not the definitive edition?

As stated in the SPECIAL OFFER section of the Steam store page. If you own The Three Brothers you get a FREE UPGRADE to Definitive Edition.
Since you do NOT have The Three Brothers DLC, you do NOT have Definitive Edition.
If you DID buy the game after the Definitive Edition launched you would have been GIVEN The Three Brothers DLC FREE.
So for the fourth time, you DO NOT have the Definitive Edition. Ignore what the thumbnail and banner in your library say. You have Oldward.
You can't BUY the Definitive Edition since it REPLACED classic Oldward in the Steam store. If you want to buy the Definitive Edition after owning Oldward, then you have to buy The Three Brothers.
ArchaicReaper and myself have been giving the same information to multiple people in multiple topics about this same exact thing for MONTHS. If you're not willing to take our word for it here, then browse through the history of topics asking the same "Do I have DE?" topics and issues, you'll find the same exact information has been given time and again, and confirmed to be correct.
If you're not willing to accept what we're saying after that point, then there's nothing more we can say or do to help you.
We should create a guide and start linking it for this issue, as it's becoming tiresome to answer the same question with the same answer every single week.
Adding photos and videos to provide visual proof.
that's not a bad idea, might save donovan a lot of time lol
You have Definitive Edition if you have this on your account

Thanks for the answers guys, i guess steam is lying to me
Because it's how the developers intended it to be (removing the ability to buy Oldward and using the Steam news page and store page to inform users that buying Three Brothers grants access to DE for "free"), it's not a bug; it's a user error and mistake. However, it's poorly designed because it's difficult for people to understand whether they have the DLC or not.
It's kinda similar to Skyrim, after they removed the OG Skyrim version on steam.
