extra quickslots
CombatHUD: shows timers on buffs/debuffs.
SoroboreanTravelAgency: the town caravans can take you to any town instead of only one random town. I do recommend doing the trip to each town on your own at least once before relying on the caravans tho.
Item Price Helper: shows the sell price of items. Helps a lot when deciding what to loot.
More Map Details: map shows where you are, your bag, caravans and enemy positions. You can toggle each of those off if they feel too OP (like the enemy positions).
FailedRecipesDontConsumeItems: self-explanatory.
RespecPotions: adds potions that make you forget every skill from a specific tree, refunding the breakthrough point. Very nice as it allows you to experiment without fear of permanently screwing up your character (but it doesn't respec mana).
Any mod that adds more quickslots.
WeaponPalettes: makes each weapon type have their own quickslot set. Very useful if you switch weapons mid-combat (like starting combat with a bow and then switching to a melee weapon when the enemy gets close).
Ammo Stacks: allows bullets/arrows to stack to 50. Because 15 is a dumb amount.
If you plan on using bows a lot, get "Arrow Recipes Reworked" and/or "DLC Arrows outside of Caldera".
These are just some of the mods I use. There are many more on Thunderstore (including ones that add new skill trees), so have a look there.
I find some class mods interesting. Didn't play much with them, waiting for a bit more updates and i want to try that and a harder outward mod later. I liked the dragon knight where you could cauterize a wound, sacrifice a bit of life to heal bleed.
