Another one... You people have a very strange definition of co-op... No RPGs exist like this... Even Phantasy Star Online back on Xbox, Gamecube and Dreamcast had SEPARATE characters with separate progressions despite its local co-op. Like I explained to someone in another thread:

"Absolutely nothing is keeping you from playing a this game fully co-op with one person only... I don't see your point here. All you hve to do is just never play WITHOUT that person... that's it. Every single time you play, you play together, it winds up being the exact same thing. The story will progress for both of you. Just treat it as if it was one adventure for both of you. The other player will still get loot, skills etc.

What you're saying isn't logical. You say they "lost potential sales" because of this decision when it's clearly the opposite because if the game was the way you say you wanted it, that means we would be locked to SINGLE co-op partner which would suck. Now we can play with whoever. Help out whoever. And if you want to adventure with just one person? NOTHING is stopping you from doing that...literally. "

I challenge you name me just FIVE adventure RPG games, that are NOT MMOs, who have LOCAL co-op with characters who are LOCKED together in the same game and progression and that each character doesn't have his/her own "game"... Just five...

I dunno how bad it was at release, but items don't behave any differently in coop as they do in single-player. If you drop an item on the ground it will last until the cell resets. If either player picks it up, they'll keep it in their own inventories and take them back to their own saves if they log off with it.
