Rust & Vengeance Quest Timer Question

I can't loot the Trog Knight to get the key so I can activate the trains because the Trogg Knights are bugged & are unlootable. So my question is ...

What happens when if I fail Rust & Vengeance? Do the DLC dungeons become locked? Does Harmatton get destroyed? I browsed the wiki but it's pretty vague on the outcomes.

If I can't progress the quest & go do other stuff that basically means I have to fail this quest so I'm just wondering if I should just roll another character & wait for a fix or if it's safe to keep playing my current one cause it won't matter.

the trog knights are bugged? i can loot them just fine. i literally did that quest again yesterday on the DE.

are you running mods of some sort?

you can also ask for someone to come and open the door for you. once the door is open you can progress. the train key itself isnt a drop from an enemy. its on the floor.

the downsides is you wont get rust lich armor and iirc one of the 2 inns in harmatten gets destroyed but dont quote me on that. its been a longass time since i failed this timer once.

you can always fight the titanic guardian to reset the timer to 60 days aswell. he is reachable without the trains now in the DE.

I'm playing on Xbox so I don't have any mods, the Trogg Knights are just bugged to where when I try to loot them the Interact option completely breaks & doesn't work until I reload my save. Reloading my save doesn't fix the bug, tho. They still remain unlootable.

The key I'm trying to get is the Living Quarters Key from the Red Trogg Knight in the Abandoned Living Quarters but I can't loot it cause it's just bugged.

Same glitched happened in Abrassar when I went into the underground tunnels to get into Levant during the Martial Law, I fell into a trap with Trogg Knights but couldn't loot anything or interact until I reloaded my save. Interacting with the Trogg Corpses would still bug out after a reload, tho.

i believe when you kill the boss you only get 1 piece of rusted litch armor instead of the whole set if you fail the timer. and you have to do it again to get the rest. cierzo is the only place that gets destroyed. someone correct me if im wrong.

Ah, ok thanks. That was my main concern. I didn't want to lose the city just cause of a bug.

Ah, ok thanks. That was my main concern. I didn't want to lose the city just cause of a bug.

you should have quite a bit of time to do it, resetting the area and going back in should solve your problem. i did it in 60 days because after you complete the campaign thats all you have for time, but if your not done you get 100, either way it should be doable giving up 7 days.

resetting won't fix it cause I can't loot the trogg knights at all.
