Missing Loot from Monster
I was playing with my friend last night and we tried to kill the unique Toxic Hive Lord to get the unique weapon and we did it. After that my friend joined my party to try it again so both of us can get the weapon and the Toxic Hive Lord was almost dead but... he killed us and we went back but he was dead when we got there but there was no loot from him
So I would like to know what can I do guys.

Thanks for your time and I hope you can help me.

Your best bet is to roll back to a prior save provided you don't want to utilize the developer debug menu. You can learn how to do this in the following location: https://www.neoseeker.com/outward/guides/How_to_Reload_Old_Saves

Note that also includes the developer debug menu method of reloading old saves, if that's something that interests you (As well as how to enable the developer debug menu). Hope that helps. o.o

I hope they fix this soon... this is a real pain if, for example, your build focuses on dots. If you die before the enemy does then they die from your dots, they have no loot by the time you respawn and head back to the body.

I'm assuming it's a known bug. Whether or not the developers will fix it is another thing entirely. :Shrugs:

Its not a bug, its a check-sum, so players do not take advantage of dotting enemies then running away and letting them die, without engaging them. Its a reward for no-risk feature.

I agree with this, as it limits cheese factor in away, although it is unfortunate as well, with this downside.

Also, OP, do not take open advice to use a cheating tool (debug menu from @JackBaldy) to circumnavigate a system that is in place that is a game mechanic (cheaters never win, do they @JackBaldy.. you should know this). The Dev's made this game specifically in this manner stating that your choices are something you live with, which is why only one save file per game play. The only way you and your friend can get the weapon is to join another instance hosted by another player (you can ask for one on the forum, I am fairly sure someone will help you out) and only if that person hasn't already looted that item, as unique items are only dropped by named monsters once in each host game (no matter how many times you kill them).
