Outward from GOG and Steam - any differences? (both still being updated?)

Hi!

I have found this game very interesting, I love hardcore survival games, I acquired it from GOG, when it off sale there (I missed the off sale from Steam).

My question is If both "Outward" games (from GOG and Steam) are the same client or version, I mean do both have same updates?

I have noticed both "Outward" games (from GOG and Steam) are still being updated it can be seen at both platform forums. Just I'm not clear If the are being the same "fixes" and or updates and If they are, I'm not sure If the updates are being released at same time.

I'm missing something If I not play Outward on Steam and the otherwise, I'm missing something If I not play Outward on GOG?

I would appreciate any comments about what are differences between Outward from Steam and from GOG

I havent encountered a game on multiple platforms (other than console/mobile) that maintains different branches for different platforms like GoG/Steam/Epic. They all get the same updates, just at slightly different times due to how the platforms work. Usually the only things that would be noticable are lack of crossplay and payment systems for ingame items/DLC.
