Character build idea: Decay Mage
i wanted to do something different for my next playthrough and i also wanted to dabble into sigil of blood. it seems hard to use so i also use chakram magic with horror chakram for the decent decay damage and extreme poison.

so i would go philosopher/hexmage/shaman. i considered primal ritualist but it would clog up my action bar too much so shaman for some more boon damage is fine. also potential for sigil of wind stacking on sigil of blood. (both conjure and mana push have synergy)
so im stuck with 3 chakram skills, the discipline skill, sigil of blood with mana push and conjure and possessed boon in the background. hex mage would make discipline boon work easier because it can negate the stamina burn so i dont have to run into attacks with brace all the time.

i planned on using horror chakram with probably jade lich armor or tenebrous and a decay weapon (the scepter of the cruel priest looks sick).

anybody tried something like this or anybody got some tips to make this build better?

Should work though i'm planning to make a bit different build but with the focus on decay as well.

I went philosopher/hex mage/monk so you can go melee as well.

Plus with the new dlc if you join blue chamber collective you can learn the infuse blood skill. So theres that xD

I had even different idea for that.

Hexmage/spellblade/shaman

Spellblade for elemental discharge as it will use whatever your weapon is imbued with and it can be poison rag/varnish which will give you decay projectile aka long range attack without the need to sit in circle.

I would normally go for philosopher as im addicted to that mana regen, but with full jade lich set and that staff and mage tent buff you'll have 95% mana cost reduction, so you should be fine on mana with just occasional pot or food and you pretty much need conjure(imo) for that turret and it also scales with bonus dmg.

Spellblade elemental discharge also allows you to use a different element if current enemy is resistant/immune to decay damage.

spellblade sounds fine but elmental discharge has a massive cooldown which would force you into sigil of blood for every encounter unless you melee them with the jade staff. it sounds like a major hassle to play.

Maybe ditch philosopher and chakram for pistol + blood bullet from mercenary tree. Loading blood bullet would benefit from any decay bonuses and the pistol fire would have synergy with the sigil of wind.
