Looking for games like outward but with easier combat.
I enjoyed the setting of this game but as a filthy casual, I don´t eonjy the combat. So, what other games are there that resemble outward but with a more forgiving combat?

You can mod The Elder Scroll games to be Outward-ish, but to my knowledge there's nothing like it in base.

I guess when it comes to true open world fantasy RPG you can't go wrong with Skyrim or The Witcher 3 but they're the obvious answer and clearly the best options.

Divinity II (That's Divinity II and NOT the Original Sin games or the other Divinity games) - Has the same feel in that you wander out of your starting town and go out questing in the good old-school way. Combat is slightly better but not amazing.

Dragon's Dogma - Start off in a hub / coastal town where you pick up a few quests and then set forth in the outside world. It is quirky and unique like Outward but party-based.

Morrowind - Similar in tone; you start from a ship and a coastal town before venturing forth - but despite being a classic is really showing its age. Very similar soundtrack.

The Risen series - old-school feel but combat is a little slow and tricky.

Kingdoms of Amalur - Combat is a lot easier and exploring is breezier and more satisfying.

as a filthy casual you can play any Mage build without any melee combat involved.
:)

Rune mage/summoner(shaman with conjure) is pretty much perfect for that.

Dragon Dogma you dont have to be in a party, you can go solo.(climbing the backs of dragons is unique, I havent seen any games that has this option) Kingdom of Amalur-Rereckoning is awesome, its the remake of the original Kingdom of Amalur. Risen 3 would be as close to Outward, you got factions and open world rpg.

+ 1 more vote for Divinity 2. in many ways its much better and super cheap. Graphically it holds up well even today. Link here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/219780/Divinity_II_Developers_Cut/

Skyrim and other Elder Scrolls games, Conan Exiles, the combat is janky as hell and the targeting locks you into a death trap

You’re not going to find anything like Outward, but you can mod the crap out of other games to try and get close.

I’d recommend you get this game anyway and refund if you don’t have a favorite weapon type 2 hours into it. (Two-handed axes are the easiest to master)
