Dumb question about dlc
Hi,

Is it ok to buy the DLC when you are, say, in the middle of the game?

May sound dumb, but I know dlc adds a lot of stuff (skills, factions...) and I don't want it to kill my roleplaying. Is it better to get it when I start a new game or no matter when ?

Yes and no. If you buy the dlc mid playthrough, the option to join the dlc faction will have already been blocked off. As you can only join one of the factions per playthrough, and you make your choice on which faction to join fairly early on. You can still join the dlc faction on subsequent playthroughs however.

That being said, if you get the dlc while you are in the middle of a playthrough, you still get access to the dlc areas, skills, mechanics, etc on your current save. (Bear in mind ingame the merchants that you travel with to arrive at the dlc area reset every 3 in-game days, and it might take that long for the option to be available to you after you get the dlc)

Thank you.
I already plan on doing several playthrough like most, I guess, so I don't mind joining the new faction later.

Thanks for the infos, I'm eager to start playing.
