Should You Stay a While (In Chersonese) and Listen?
So after coming up with much weaker characters than I wanted (I mean, I still rampaged through some lesser bosses, but ehhhh...), making some blunders in some quests and figuring I need more time to properly learn the combat system (I understand that timing + animation lock + buffs + high impact are a big deal... and then I get killed xD).

So I decided to delete my "paladin" and "witch" characters and start over.

Now, for the real question here: I have a feeling that one of the reasons I was having so much trouble is that I didn't spend enough time in Chersonese between clearing my Blood Debt, unlocking Mana and jumping straight to the next region to start faction quest.

Would you say it's recommended to stick around in Chersonese after the lighthouse business and "farm" the region for a while or would that somehow screw me over in the future in case of timed quests or events that are set to occur on Day X?

What's wiser - taking my time to build up my character through loot and practice or rushing for the faction stuff?

Yes, I would 100% say you should stay in chersonese.

Theres plenty to do, it can be fun and yes the enemies are alot easier.

My first character I rushed hard, I found out about the tribal favor. And was done in chersonese in all of 5 minutes. I then spent an hour getting demolished in the marsh. Sure I could take one or two with my little fang sword but it seems to me those hounds just love spawning in packs of 3+.

Second character I took my time. Ive hit almost every poi in chersonese, I took the time to fully train into merc and shaman with money farmed in chersonese, I feel much much stronger than my original character.
As decard once said and so shall I..."stay a awhile and listen." Yeah most definitely.

Diablo was the first pc game I played that didn't come on a floppy disk and that voice stuck in my head for eternity.

So what people don’t know. Technically if you dont go to any other region till you’re ready. The other quests won’t trigget their timed effect. While you’re on the first mission of the chosen faction you have your first timed parallel mission that’s needs to be completed. But until that you’re free to do whatever in Chersonese.

As stated on the post above, if you don't start the faction quests you can pretty much do as you please.

I did the opposite of staying tho, since I wanted some basic melee skills to start with, so made some money, bought full spellblade tree with fire infusion, therefore required the Warm Bless, and had to travel to the dessert.

Long story short, all the travel to get the skills actually payed very well in return since I found myself making easy money on some regions. Even was able to clear some minor dungeons for some decent loot.

The thing is.. explore as much as you can!
