Blue sand gathering bug?

Friend is having an issue where all blue sand sources give it out no blue sand ever but will give it out salt or something else minor instead. restarting doesnt help. is this a known bug? or just the worst luck on earth?

I think the blue sand is a secondary product, like gems in an iron veins. Just lack of luck)

Dont know about you, but every time I've gathered a "blue sand" patch on the beach I've always received one blue sand. Sometimes two.

dont know if it's a bug but i keep geting blue sand all the time but some people reported that if they gathered too much blue sand they stop geting it

How much would be too much? I grab it every time I see it, have the blue sands armor made and stashed, also had started stashing it for my wifes character so i have another 10ish in my stash and been selling the rest.

I'm getting the glitch too. The game just... stopped giving any blue sand at all. Closing and reopening the game doesn't do anything. I think whatever character you have is stuck with the inability to get blue sand forever. 2 years later, it still isn't patched :(

I think it may be intended, honestly, which could be why nothing was done back when this thread was created. It's kind of like the gathering nodes for blue sand respawn before the blue sand itself respawns, if that makes any sense. You'll notice similar experiences with certain other resources if you loot them frequently, such as ghost plants and wheat. The good news is you can still get other items from them sometimes, such as gems on the beach or beetles from flora.
