How to keep track of quest timers?
I'm finding this especially in the last stages of the DLC quests:

I have quests with timers on (20 days) and quests that apprently reset timers (100 resets to 60 twice....) but they always show the initial time in my journal.

I could, I suppose, note the nights passing...(this game is like that. I'm mapping the dungeons on scraps of paper....), but that doesn't account for time spent underground, or time lost when mugged and dumped somewhere....

How can I tell how long is left on a timed quest? Is there a date system in play anywhere?

It's not a date exactly, but the game keeps track of how many in-game days you've been playing on the bottom left of the map, along with the time of day. You'll still have to mark down or remember what day you started with quest, though.
