Which is hilarious, given existence of youtube alone.
When I was a new player, it seemed like the backpack wasn't always close to my character after I died, plus I wasn't aware the compass pointed to my backpack when it dropped.
Unless he's talking about getting enslaved.
Exactly. In all of these situations you can easily recover your stuff if you just take some time to look around your surroundings.
Kind of hard to recover when you spawn in with almost zero HP have enemies close by, then after the 2nd or 3rd time you die go back to town with nothing. FYI I have lost 2 good bags and the expensive dagger.
If you enjoy the game great, I have the right to my opinion without being attacked.
And people can have an opinion about your ♥♥♥♥ opinion BTW
Pointing out that it's your error and not a game mechanic is not attacking you, it's clarifying facts. All of the respawn situations you can escape from. If you get taken by hyenas there's only one in there with you in the cave. If you get taken by the bandits, it's always at night and you can sneak out. You failing to survive doesn't equate the game not allowing you to survive.
Split screen saved this game. How many games can I play that is rpg and free roam with split screen?? None on PC almost. When you have a wife these are the games you want to play.
Outward should have all the respect for that reason alone.
It's fine if you don't like the game, don't get me wrong. The issue is claims that aren't opinion but are based in confirmable facts are driving those of us that know the game insane.
You can avoid the bandits in the camp by crouching just sneaking to your bag market. No light, No Torches, just silence. If they see you sprint around a corner get distance and crouch again, enemies will look for you but can't actually see you through walls (generally). If you die again after having died you won't lose your bag unless you picked up another, your bag will always warp with you.
There is next to no in this game where you're at risk of losing gear.
All said, I'm doubling back to the original thing. I respect your opinion, if it wasn't enjoyable I get that you don't want to play, and I am not trying to convince you to continue or that the game is some masterpiece you must enjoy. I am not addressing your claims to get at you or to be salty or whatever, the hope is that potentially another player having some of your troubles sees this and gleans some of the mechanics before he is turned off from the game.
I imagine that's at least part of why everyone that defended the game did.
Hi friend!
I am wondering if this game just isn't for you. To me, it's one of the best games I have ever played, and it is rewarding in itself to conquer challenges instead of having quest rewards. It is triple the fun with a friend, as well! The stark contrast between your opinion and mine seems to lead me to that conclusion.
Remember, "it wasn't what I expected" doesn't mean "it's a bad game". It just means it wasn't up to your tastes and standards, and that's OK! This game is not for everyone, and that again is OK!
Hope you have a good day!!
