progress in co-op
Hi all, ive seen people saying that this game doesnt save any progress for your friend in multiplayer. Is this true?

Hey do you know why me and a friend can't play together online? When I press "open game to friends" and set a password and he press "find a game" and set the same password it doesn't work. Am I missing something?

check if he can just press the join the game button on the steam friends list

When I try to join my friend or host a game, it just crashes my game. Anyone know why?

What a ..... That shouldn't be called coop at all!
Who would have thought of such a system reading coop. I really regret buying this game as our main goal was to enjoy it together.

There's a way to share quest rewards with mod. But yeah, you won't share Quest rewards without the mod.

State of Decay 2 has a similar system in which your character progress is saved but your world progress is separate. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it works if you're willing to look at it from the perspective of the drop-in player simply being a helper for the host. You can still enjoy this game together, it's just that you'll maybe have to swap who is hosting every now and then to replay some content so that the both of you can get some things like faction quest progress.
