Realising how much travel there is
I just made it through Chersonese after exploring the whole map, now I am in the Hallowed Marsh. It's more apparent than ever before to me that the sheer amount of travel between cities is ridiculous.

In the beginning when you travel you see bandits and animals (hyenas and birds) and for a while it's pretty cool but then after a while you realise nothing is respawning and you've single handedly wiped the map so there is nothing to do between travelling to a new place, even if enemies did respawn quicker, at this point in the game they are more of a nuisance than a threat.

I think it would be okay if you could travel from city to city (assuming you've been to the other city before) for a bit of silver, I'd even be okay with buying a mount that you can't control but auto-paths to another city at great speeds.

Just wait until your faction quest has you go from one map to another to another back to the one then back again. Or makes you go 3 maps over then travel all the way around that map going to multiple places then you have to travel across 2 maps again to turn it in. Master trader set with pearlbird mask is practically required to no want to smash beat your head against the wall. Even then it still takes far to long running doing literally nothing else since mobs cant even catch up to you with those items on.

well, the devs gave you the option to run like the wind.
Skip to 0:25 and look at my speed while sprinting, i have master trader set, chicken hat and the levant mercenary speed breakthrough point and skills from that tree. With speed sneaking is acutally more viable.

Google it.

This is why you have a travel system but so few maps.
