WTF is this enemy (the blue Wendigo in Face of the Ancients)? I'm not sure what type of damage it does, but he almost one-hit kills me every time. I assume he is weak to fire and maybe poison?

Yes I think he is weak to fire. What sort of gear and weapon do you have? You might need some frost resistence or a better weapon. Try using traps, I find that doing that can make any fight a cakewalk if you are having too much trouble.

Use frost resistance and cold boon along with elemental resistance potions. I haven’t fought him yet but other the lesser wendingos are challenging and use ice moves. Using fire attacks sounds like a good idea.

Line the corridors with tripwires / fire pressure plates and pull it through them.

I have the Plate gear + Hunter's helm from Cierzo. I'm using a Beast Golem Halberd.

I got him down to 1/3 health with burning, but seriously, his "void" spell and attacks 1 - 2 shot me. I do have Cool boon so I gotta use that. I was using the Warm spell to get more Fire damage.

I have infuse mace, I think that would be able to counter his spell without taking damage? And it enchants your wpn with ice. I kill them with my Brutal club, huge stagger combined with shield slam.

I finally beat him/it. I kinda "cheated" i guess in that I died and the Immaculate gave me two Elemental Immunity potions. I buffed to the max, used the potion, and just mashed the **** out of that punk. Made about 1500 silver through the whole endeavor! Sheesh that was stressful *woo*

Congrats on beating him. You really need to be careful with elemental beasts, as they’re able to bypass your physical resistance and cause huge damage.

YES and this should be the absolute best way to beat him. Those things are also vicious. It occurred to me when he terrifyingly followed me throughout the entire dungeon. Sub-boss or even boss is very fitting for this monster. As far as I can tell his attacks at 95 - 100% cold, because I was only taking a smidgen of damage on his flailing physical attacks (which we actually quite funny when I wasn't getting two shotted haha) when I immune to elementals.

After all that treasure (that Mace is pretty awesome - def going for a Mace build next), I'm rockin the Elite Plate with Beast Golem Halberd, ready to take anything on (and most likely still die haha).

I dunno... I found it pretty easy to beat? It definitely surprised me the first time I saw it and took me out very quickly.

After that when I went back I just watched it’s attacks and then stabbed it to death with my dagger 🤷🏾‍♂️ It’s lunge attack’s leave it pretty wide open so It was fairly easy to backstab and knock it down a few times

Killing him was easy - he was pushing at the gate trying to get to us, and we just shot him with about ten arrows from a fire infused bow until he died. Only took a minute or so. We had a tougher time with the fire guys, till we started using bows on them too.
