It would require completely revamping combat to facilitate first person. Currently combat is built around third person.
It would be a bug undertaking, so I dont see it happening. At most there will be a half-arsed first person mod thats fine until you actually have to fight something.
yeah if youre using guides, debug, and the sorts. I've been playing completely blind, no help what so ever. You cant tell me the desert area isnt hard when you attempt it before you actually should or knowing what enemies need what items to help defeat.
skyrim. also look into "isles of adalar". also, incase you already do own skyrim, have you ever put in a dodge mod that functioned in first person? its really awkward looking.
I know this thread is old but couldn't stop myself to reply to your post. No first person dodge in Skyrim to me isn't awkward at all. Many people who are used to playing first person games are used to fast movement if that is what you think bothers you. Camera movement while dodging is alright too.
Also a first person shooter series called Unreal Tournament has a dodge system where you can dodge in any direction mid-combat and its like bread and butter of combat in that game. You have to constantly dodge in order to not get hit by enemy players' fire. You can do double dodges in it as well. It covers hell of a lot of distance that way. Players also use this to traverse quickly through the maps.
