Scaled Leather Attire best armor for physical build?
Well... Scaled Leather Attire is the armor with the most damage bonus in the game. It also has 5 pouch bonus, which could be quite useful. It has 13 impact resistance, which is pretty decent for light armor.

I'm feeling a little reluctant to change into other body armor, since the damage bonus looks too significant to get rid of, but I'm also questioning the actual value of the 15 bonus damage. Is it worth it to upgrade it into other armor with better resistance?

Generally, do you guys have any other recommendations for good armor?

So I’m not sure if you’re thinking it adds 15 dmg to your attack or not. The way it works is add 15% damage to your physical damage and stacks with disciplines attack bonus. If you get a weapon that’s split dmg and the elemental dmg is way higher than physical I’d say switch it. If base dmg is 15 or lower for physical it isn’t worth using but if you have at least 31, it can get buffed considerably.

So, this topic came up when I looked around for if anyone had considered this piece nowadays, and there's no talk about it, which feels odd; with the Beast of Burden enchantment, that gives it 8% more physical resistance and 7 more pouch space, meaning that it has a total of 12, 4 more than Master Trader's Garb, and while it lacks the 5% movespeed and 10% lower stamina costs in favour of a 15% physical damage bonus, it's significantly tankier; base it has 15% resist vs physical, only 2% better than MTG, but with Beast of Burden it has 23% (8% better than MTG, and 3% better than Blue Sand in phys resist alone), as well as the base 10% resist vs. decay. All in all, it seems like Scaled might be the best all-rounder non-mage light armor out there.

Pearlescent Mail has better defense & also gives 15% damage bonus. Hound Mask is better than the Scale Leather Hat if you just want more damage. Then there's the Zagis set, but it slows you down & you can only get it from Heroic Kingdom Faction. You can also get a backpack from the Friendly Immaculate in Caldera that gives +15% physical damage. Faction bonus from Heroic Kingdom is +15% all damage, & if you finish building New Sirocco it's an additional 15% Physical Damage as well. If you also chose Cabal Hermit that's double the physical damage bonus from Discipline (from 15% to 30%), & impact from Rage Boon is also doubled. Combined with Wind Infuse & you've become the ultimate melee bonker.

This becomes obscenely OP with the Maelstrom Blade & Red Lady's or Manticore Dagger, or the Rondel Dagger after you enchant it with Unexpected Strength (+150% Damage).
